Annual Swimwear Round Up part 2
So, some of my favorite modest clothing retailers have come out with their spring swimsuit lines, I am still waiting for Shade, but several other have already had their lines out.
I posted about DivineModestee’s 2010 line back in February, and I was very impressed with their designs this year!
So far, Christa Taylor, Lime Ricki, and Down East Basics have come out with new simsuits for 2010.
Christa Taylor in the past only ever had one swimsuit option. The one from the past looked like shorts and a tank top. Which is not bad, but if I wanted to wear shorts and a sleeveless top to the beach(and I sometimes do), I would not pay over $50 for it…
Their offerings this seasone look MUCH more swimsuit like while still offering very modest coverage.

These four peices are mix and match, and the shorts come in either brown or black. One of the other innovations of this suit is that while they are separates(for a great fit) they hook together to keep the tops from creeping up or the bottoms from revealing the dreaded crack
Lime Ricki…oh Lime Ricki…I heart your suits!
Lime Ricki suits are a GREAT option for fun, funky suits especially for teenagers who want to look GREAT in a swimsuit, but still want modest coverage.
Lime Ricki has come through again with some great mix and match options.
My favorite top is this one:

I love the coverage of this top, while maintaining a fun and funky attitude, I also really like the boyshort option, to give it a sporty full coverage option, but I don’t really my 31 year old hind end should be sporting ANYTHING bright yellow if you know what I mean…
This one I just love as well…

I love the high neck on this one!!!
I would pair it with these bottoms:

One of the things that I love about LimeRicki is how their suits provide chest coverage. If you are up for a fun funky swimsuit that is full of personality, LimeRicki is where to get it, they also offer free shipping on exchanges…
Wow, I was BLOWN away by their line this year.
Down East’s suits are super cute, but definetly a little bit more grown up than Lime Ricki.
And Down East’s Price point is a little bit easier on the wallet that either one of the other two retailers (tops are 29.99).
While the jury is still out (because Shade has not made their Swim 2010 debut yet), if I had to pick ONE SUIT this year it would be this one from Down East:

but I really like this top too…

So, do you have your suit for this year? Are you just keeping the one from last year, or are you going suit shopping? How do you feel about ordering one online? Does that prohibit you from buying from one of the modest online retailers?

I plan on wearing mine from last year, aaaand the year before
It’s really hard to find a suit to fit my torso, so I normally end up ordering one online. I LOVE Down East Basic’s swimsuits this year!! LOVE THEM. So I think I’ll splurge later on this spring and get a new one.
Wow…I REALLY liked that last one. Thank you for showcasing these companies, as this year I will need to break down and buy one as, (praise be!) I will not be needing my lovely aqua whale coverup, otherwise known as maternity swimsuit!!!
Congratulations on SO many entries to your giveaway!!! It’s taking off! Next think you know, you’ll be on Oprah!
i bought my suit already, when we headed to the DR and got it at Target, but it has a very similar bottom to the little black/skirt one you have pictured. It comes with a cute tankini halter top in baby blue and black paisley.
but these suits inspire me to buy more. beautiful.
